What is The Hopeful Encyclopedia?
Good shouldn’t have to start from scratch. Inspired by The World Book Encyclopedia’s thorough, understandable, and easily search-able format, The Hopeful Encyclopedia plans to organize community-sourced solutions to the world’s greatest crises by area of impact (e.g. democracy, economy, education). Community submissions will be curated as examples and evidence of work in service of solving our society’s greatest concerns to make it easy for decision-makers to find and be supported in making choices that improve our collective future.
The good news is, there’s a lot of good out there! The bad news is there’s a good-sized backlog. We need your help to collect it all!

Why some entries may not be approved:
Each submission should provide accurate, up-to-date, and reliable information. We also know everyone has their own definition of “good” and “hopeful,” so here’s what you need to know about ours: We’re centered around projects that share a forward-thinking, inclusive vision for global wellbeing. Inspired by frameworks like the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals, The Hopeful Encyclopedia’s scope prioritizes solutions that respect and uplift diverse communities and contribute to a hopeful, equitable future decided by and for all.
